With two weeks to go until Shy By Nature Farm’s first veg box goes to collection points in south Donegal, we are chuffed that one third of the potential subscriptions for this year’s veg box pilot scheme have now been allocated.

Plus we are super grateful to the two people that have signed up to sponsor boxes for households experiencing food insecurity. It is heart-warming that people are thinking about community health and helping us widen access to our premium vegetables.

Come see us this Saturday at the Ardara Artisan Market and Donegal’s Town’s Market At the Mews

This Saturday looks like it's going to be a busy day, as well as a hot one! Got questions about our veg boxes, come and meet the crew at both the two new markets - Ardara Artisan Market (11am-3pm) and Donegal’s Town’s Market at the Mews (11am-4pm).

Plus - Come visit the farm, see and taste the veg!

People are also invited to a series of Welcome events to tour the farm, meet the crew and taste veg from 10-11.30am on 10 and 24 June (both Saturdays).

There is also then the option to participate in our Volunteer Days which happen on the very same days afterwards, let’s get tending!

Hot on the farm

This week has been a hot one on the farm, sorting out our irrigation system and making sure that all the plants are getting their needs met. Was very lovely to see our first cucumbers appearing this week, the first courgettes ready for harvesting and the salad leave coming on - almost ready to go in bags for your plates!
